1. Give me a brief explanation of your role and the work you do at The Dove Agency.

As a Procurement Associate, I handle designers’ orders, track their projects, handle damage claims, and provide general project maintenance.

2. What motivates you when things get busy or challenging?

Motivation for me comes from completing tasks and seeing the end product. When things are busy or challenging, I feel the need to organize my tasks and check them off a to-do list.

3. What’s a professional skill you’ve developed that surprised you?

I started working for The Dove Agency when my youngest started high school. Even after I quit my claims adjuster job to stay at home with my family, I continued as an at-home entrepreneur, monogramming and sewing baby bedding for new moms. During those years, I wasn’t very active on the computer, so I focused on developing my tech skills. I’ve always been tech-savvy, but my time at home with the kids coincided with a period of rapid technological advancement, and I lacked hands-on experience. Now, I can build dynamic spreadsheets in Excel and have sharpened my overall computer proficiency.

4. What makes you proud to work at The Dove Agency?

I have worked at The Dove Agency since near its inception and am very proud of the founders, Beth Bender and Kenda Lister, and the company they have built. I’ve been able to witness firsthand the evolution and growth of the agency over the years. I am proud to be part of a small company that makes a big impact in the design world, always striving to streamline processes and support designers in their work.

5. What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy week?

If you’ve had a chance to work with me, you know I’m a very social person. Unwinding for me always means spending time out and about with my husband, Albert, and friends. We enjoy dinners, concerts, and, in the summer, poolside gatherings. I also love staying active and often visit my local yoga studio.

6. If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be and why?

THE BEACH! My answer will always be living just a short walk from the waves, toes in the sand. I love everything about it—the water, the sand, and the sun.

7. What’s one thing on your bucket list you haven’t checked off yet?

I’ve never created a bucket list—I’ve always enjoyed whatever adventures came my way. I’ve been fortunate to have some wonderful life experiences. If I had to choose one place I’d love to visit in the future, I’d say the coast of Italy!
